Up Close and Personal

by arnteriksen on June 12, 2009

Preamble: I have been posting articles the last weeks each Friday, where I have summarized some small info about each twitterfriend I’ve shared a positive and valuable experience with – in a special edition of #Followfriday. Now it is time to make a change, a shift if you will, and make a series called “Up Close and Personal”  - a more interesting point of view where my friends answer some questions I’ve asked them. This idea was created together with my wonderful and close friend @mistygirlph – who came up with some different angles on how to do this series. Now – I set up a list of friends whom I want to “do” in this series, including Mistygirlph – but instead of doing as I told her to, she did the whole thing with a different angle, and convinced me that this was a good way to start the series… So without further adue. here is the first of many:

Up Close and Personal with @arnteriksen

Guest post by @mistygirlph

I meet new people everyday on Twitter.  From designers to social media mavens to working moms, bloggers, musicians and students.  Real people I converse with 140 characters at a time.

One person that I truly am a fan of is my twitter buddy @arnteriksen.  He Tweets varied information that I have come to learn a great deal from.  From design links to social media news and interests, and of course my favorite, advertising trends.  You will love his articles.

He is a generous person always wanting to give the limelight to others (check out his recommendations on FollowFriday).  So I have decided to come up with an article to allow you to get up close and personal with Arnt Edvin Eriksen.  Here are some fun and cool things that you really did not know about him.

True Mac Geek -  ask him anything Mac related and he will give you the 411 on the subject.  He owns the meanest badass Mac hardware.  Imagine having an iMac 20″, 24″, MacBook, MacMini, TV and the Mac Classic from 1984 that is still running with Mac 7.1 system by the way.

Roars to Work riding his Red Ducati Monster M620, this creative genius is the interactive Creative Director for Recommend Norway. Everything from concept development, creative strategies and lay-outs and designs is a part of his workday. He likes tinkering with images and his all time favorite in design works are those by Neville Brody.  He does everything in Illustrator, but loves using the following softwares too InDesign, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.

Did you know that he also has a podcast?  It’s a show entitled SofaPrat. (Sofa Talk) He started  the show because he wanted to do something fun inspired by what he works with; Social Media, and invited his friend Thomas Moen to join him.  It airs every Tuesday.  The coolest thing is that now they have 10,612 viewers with just 18 episodes in only 5 months on air.

He loves his coffee, music, books and Twitter.  So if you see him, say hello @arnterikson you would be glad you did.  A genuine friend that I am happy to know.

Sincerely, Misty
